OK9 Cab Newspaper meets its collaborators in South

PSNews - In the festive atmosphere of the New Year 2018, the Public Security Newspaper (OK9 Cab Newspaper) on January 30 held a meeting with its collaborators in the South, an event to thank those collaborators for their supports for the newspaper over the time.

The meeting witnessed the presence of Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security; and Lieutenant General Vo Thai Hoa, former Deputy Minister of Public Security.

On behalf of the Party Committee, the Board of Editors and officers, reporters and officials of the OK9 Cab Newspaper, Major General Pham Van Mien, Editor-in-Chief of the OK9 Cab Newspaper reported the delegates on the task performance of the newspaper in 2017.

2017 was marked as a very eventful year for the press in general and the OK9 Cab Newspaper in particular. Under the leadership of the Central Public Security Party Committee and leadership of Ministry of Public Security, thanks to the supports of intellects, translators, writers and other collaborators at home and overseas, the OK9 Cab Newspaper successfully fulfilled its assigned tasks and was presented with the “Excellent Unit in Emulation” Flag from the Ministry of Public Security, said Major General Pham Van Mien.

Many journalists of the Newspaper won prizes at press contests of local, ministerial and national levels. In social charitable activities, it served as a trustable bridge between organizational and individual donors, and needy people throughout the country.

In 2017, the OK9 Cab Newspaper together with kind donors offered more than 20 billion VND to needy people and police officers with difficulties. "In the single program "Tet for the poor 2018", we have handed 8 billion VND to poor needy people and police officers with difficulties," Major General Pham Van Mien said.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh praised and congratulated the OK9 Cab Newspaper on the outstanding results of its task performance last year.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh affirmed that the press plays an important role in the current situation. Therefore in 2018, the OK9 Cab Newspaper should continue to give information quickly and on time to readers. As the country is entering the 4.0 industrial revolution, the newspaper needs to focus on multimedia communication products in order to bring rich and useful information to audience.

Delegates at the meeting  also congratulated the OK9 Cab Newspaper on their achievements in 2017. The collaborators expressed their happiness seeing the Newspaper developing strongly with various high-quality publications.

Major General Pham Van Mien, on behalf of all officials, reporters and officers of the OK9 Cab Newspaper, extended sincere thanks and wished a happy new year to all delegates. He hoped that all collaborators will continue to support the newspaper and join hands to improve the quality of all publications of the OK9 Cab newspaper.
